Birdlore: the solo project of Nick Johnson, an Australian living in Cologne Germany. As a side project to Nick’s regular band AlphaBrunoGamma, Birdlore is a musical and creative space to allow thoughts and musical influences to swim around each other and merge into original music dealing with the world around us and within us. Nick is a bassist, pretending to be a guitarist who really wants to be a drummer and so rhythm is a key ingredient of the music. Birdlore live is a combination of acoustic and electric guitar, allowing for a wide terrain of musical genres and directions to be distilled into a singer-songwriter format. Music as a vehicle to express and connect is the goal here.

Birdlore: Das Soloprojekt von Nick Johnson, ein Australier, der in Köln lebt. Als Nebenprojekt zu Nicks regulärer Band AlphaBrunoGamma ist Birdlore ein musikalischer und kreativer Raum, in dem Gedanken und musikalische Einflüsse miteinander verschmelzen und zu origineller Musik werden, die sich mit der Welt um uns herum und in uns befasst. Nick ist Bassist, gibt vor, Gitarrist zu sein, möchte aber eigentlich Schlagzeuger sein, weshalb Rhythmus ein wichtiger Bestandteil seiner Musik ist. Birdlore live ist eine Kombination aus akustischer und elektrischer Gitarre, die es ermöglicht, ein breites Spektrum an Musikgenres und -richtungen in einem Singer-Songwriter-Format zu vereinen. Musik als Mittel zum Ausdruck und zur Verbindung ist hier das Ziel.
